Three viruses that infect the liver: Hepatitis A Virus (HAV), Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV). HAV is found in feces and can be transmitted by anal contact (oral-genital sex). HBV is transmitted by contact with infected bodily fluids (blood, semen , vaginal-secretions , breast milk , and saliva). HCV is most commonly spread by sharing needles or, more rarely, by sexual contact.
