George Carlin's Seven Dirty Words:
A comedy routine, also known as: The Seven Dirty Words / Seven Words You Can Never Say On Television / The Seven-No-No's / The Infamous-Seven-Words / Seven-Deadly-Words , delivered by George Carlin at WBAI-FM in NYC in 1973. These 'dirty words' are: shit, piss, fuck, cunt, cocksucker, motherfucker, and tits. Following a single complaint, the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) banned further use of these words on broadcast media; their decision was upheld, five to four, by the Supreme Court of the United States in 1978. As for the Internet, on June 12, 1997, 3-0, a panel of Federal Judges struck down the Communications-Decency-Act (CDA) of 1996 as unconstitutional.
