firk / ferk:
C16-19th euphemism for fuck; derived from a contraction of dirk + fuck. According to Hugh Rawson, Wicked Words (1989) firk 'either was a blood relative of fuck or a euphemism for it'. In Shakespeare's Henry V (IV.iv), Pistol threatens to firk a French soldier, a word meaning both to strike and to fuck.
