bacterial vaginosis:

Or: B.V. / BV , a common vaginal infection caused by an overgrowth of the bacteria gardnerella . Bacterial vaginosis can spread through vaginal sex , but it also occurs in up to 15% of females who have never had sex . TREATMENT: The most common treatment is oral metronidazole (Flagyl). This drug is very risky for pregnant women and must not be taken during the first 3 months of pregnancy.
