ballum rancum:
Obsolete term for a dance at which the female members are said to be confirmed whores or and the naked participants jump in a way as to make their floppy parts bob up-and-down . Captain Francis Grose in Dictionary of the Vulgar Tongue (1811) spells it balum-rancum :: ' A hop or dance , where the woman are all prostitutes. N.B.
