contrapunctum:
A colloquialism for the vagina in use from the 17 th to the 19 th century. See vagina for synonyms.
Etymology: Coined by Sir Thomas Urquhart (1611-60) for his translation of the works of François Rabelais (1490-1551); strictly speaking, a contrapunctum is a counterpoint, the opposite of the point , the point being a penis .
