gallop the antelope:
Jocular coinage for male masturbation . An expression of Australian origin derived from the onanistic behavior of antelopes when they rub their horns against the ground to obtain an erection and to ejaculate. Since it is listed in both John Trimble's 5000 Adult Sex Words and Phrases (1966) and Roger Blake's American Dictionary of Adult Sexual Terms (1964) we can assume that this expression and others like it date from or predate the 1960s. See masturbation-male for synonyms.
