hypoactive sexual desire:

A sexual disorder characterized by low or lack of sexual-desire ; a persisting and pervasive inhibition of sexual-desire . Also known as: inhibited-sexual-desire ; low sexual-desire . The American Psychiatric Association in 1994 defined Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder: ' Persistently or recurrently deficient (or absent) sexual fantasies and desire for sexual activity. The judgment of deficiency or absence is made by the clinician, taking into account factors that affect sexual functioning, such as age and the context of the person's life . The disturbance causes marked distress or interpersonal difficulty .'
In 1967, J.E. Schmidt coined two words, neither of which caught on , for this condition for his Lecher's Lexicon (1967):
-- HYPOLIBIDA: ' A female whose sexual-desire is subnormal in intensity .'
-- HYPOLIBIDUS: ' A male whose sexual-desire is subnormal in intensity .'
