tip the velvet:

To perform cunnilingus , based on velvet meaning both the tongue and the vagina . This expression, of British origin, was first recorded in the 17 th century. See cunnilingus for synonyms. In his Dictionary of the Vulgar Tongue (1811), Captain Francis Grose defines velvet as: ' To tip the velvet ; to put one's tongue into a woman's mouth .' Grose may be refering to French-kissing or to a woman's silent-mouth , the vagina .
