flying fuck:

Ca. 1845:
(1) Something of very little value.
(2) Usually preceded by: I don't / couldn't / wouldn't give a...; a negative statement of nonchalance. I don't give a fuck -> can be given more weight by the addition of: 'a flying' as in I-don't-give-a-flying-fuck , but be careful not to drop the keyword 'give' as in: I don't fuck. A Freudian-slip can turn into a Freudian nightmare. Go take a flying fuck at the mooooooon! -> Posted at Everything2 (www.everything2.com) by The Custodian (Dec 18, 2000): 'Sorry, P_I, another nitpicking correction: the phrase is actually from Slapstick [Kurt Vonnegut - 1976]. The protagonist uses it, and then when he's President of the U.S. he tries to get-into a private club. The club is only for people with a certain middle name (as President, he'd had everyone in the U.S. assigned a government-issued middle name) and he didn't have it. The doorman asks him if he's got that name, and he says of course not. The doorman says "Then, sir, I must respectfully ask you: why don't you go take a flying fuck at a rolling doughnut? Why don't you take a flying fuck at the moooooooon?"'
QUOTE: Lee Turner (Billy Idol) in the movie Mad Dog Time (1996): 'I don't give a flying fuck what you've heard!'
