clitoris:
The small organ of spongy, sensitive, erectile tissue, blood vessels, and nerves located above the entrance to the vagina . Beneath the skin , the clitoris forks into two shafts known as crus (singular: crura) which extend for about three inches on either side of the vaginal opening . During stimulation and foreplay , this spongy area fills with blood and the glans , shaft , and legs swell and become firm. Contrary to the penis , which serves both the functions of procreation and urination , the sole purpose of the clitoris is pleasure and to transmit sexual sensation.
